POSITION : DESIGN SPECIALIST - MECHANICAL
POSITION TYPE : Permanent
POSITION LOCATION : Bay Area, CA
POTENTIAL PAY : Up to 72 K $ /Yr.
EDUCATION : Bachelors Degree
EXPERIENCE : 8 + yrs
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Design specialist typically identifies and troubleshoots problems, technically
lead and/or execute engineering projects, and interface with internal and external customers regarding mechanical issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as technical expert on specialized mechanical projects or programs
- Discusses technical information and interface with all levels of engineering and management, within the company, customers, partners, and suppliers regarding mechanical issues of specific project
- Gathers technical requirements of the projects/programs, author product specifications, assembly and test procedures, get agreement on technical requirements, scope and execute the project meeting client’s schedule. Also participate in project status review meetings and design reviews.
- Proficient in CAD/PDM softwares - UGNX-5, Pro-E Wildfire 2.0, Teamcenter Engineering & Windchill.
- Previous experience in designing capital equipments for clean room environment meeting S2-0200, CE, and SEMI standards.

JOB TITLE : PROJECT MANAGER - ENGINEERING

EDUCATION : B.S. degree or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
EXPERIENCE : Minimum 8 years experience in engineering project management and design/development activities.
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Project Manager typically gets involved and manages engineering projects/programs starting from kick-off meeting till project closure. Facilitate and co-ordinate all design reviews and project deliveries, report project status, identify risk and risk mitigation plan.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Technical consulting for requirements gathering, defining the scope of work, establishing the working model for American, high tech customers.
- Customer interactions, delivery management (on time, within budget, with quality).
- Strategic planning, handling teams & projects from concept to delivery, Manage/Plan onsite/offshore product development activities.
- Customer interactions and Project management (on time, within budget, with quality).
- Cross functional experience including ME, EE and Manufacturing.
- Demonstrates full understanding of the technologies implemented and what tools are needed to effectively develop products.
- Excellent communication and people management skills.

POSITION:
VALUE ENGINEERING
PURPOSE:
To impart Optimum Value Engineering Expertise to Vignani Customers
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND
ABILITIES:
• System Engineering –
Experience (with
success) in system design and managing product development involving
multiple disciplines including mechanical, electrical, and software
engineers. Development through launch and early production support for
at least 3 system products of moderate to high complexity. Basic
knowledge of microcontamination reduction practices. Basic knowledge of
micro-contamination reduction practices involved in the semiconductor
equipment industry would be a plus
• Design Engineering –
Performed detailed
mechanical (preferred) or electrical engineering designs of moderate to
high complexity for 3+ significant product developments that made it
into production. Familiarity with modern software tools, both
analytical (e.g. FEA, thermal, vibration) and practical (e.g.
mechanical and electrical CAD/CAM, PDM.) Experience with modern PDM
processes, especially ECO, product structuring.
• Supplier Experience
– Familiar with and
has practical experience with development of components using multiple
manufacturing technologies for, in order of importance, metal parts
(e.g. stainless steel & aluminum, machining, sheet metal,
casting,
forging, coatings, plating, cleaning,) PCBA’s (modern
components
and board production,) plastic parts (machining, molding,) and more
exotic materials materials (ceramics.)
QUALIFICATIONS: Masters/Bachelors
Degree equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering
EXPERIENCE:
Over 15 years of experience
WORK ENVIRONMENT/DYNAMICS:
Is it a stressful environment and hence the selected candidate must be
prepared to endure such stress
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Frequent travel and late night work may be in store.
PREFERENCES:
Prefer candidate to have a valid US Visa (not the criteria for

FIRMWARE
ENGINEERS WITH HARDCORE FPGA EXPERIENCE
QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE:
5+ years of prior experience in leading MNC/R&D Lab design
companies.
Engineers need to be exposed to Electronic Product Designs from Capital
Equipment Industry like Medical, Instrumentation, Semiconductor
Equipment Industries.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Good understanding of basic electronics circuit design principles.
- Possess strong analytical and engineering problem solving skills.
- Digital and Analog Circuit Design, FPGA/PLD programming with
strong knowledge in VHDL design verification and synthesis, place and
route through HDL tools like XILINX/ALTERA/ACTEL.
- Exposure to firmware development using Microcontrollers,
Microprocessors, Embedded processors, DSPs etc.
- Exposure to RTOS development added advantage.
ABILITES:
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members while
maintaining strong sense of individual responsibility.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with
superiors, peers, subordinates, suppliers, and customers.
